Silver Birch Mrs Edith Priestner – for her services to the Church
Crab Apple – Reverend Ben Elliotlargest of these original trees are around 20 feet in girth whereas ours is only 14 feet. It is however clearly older than the Horse Trough (1891) and was probably planted in the early 19th Century by the 11th Duke of Somerset at around the time of the Battle of Waterloo and the end of the war with France (1815) or for Victoria’s Coronation (1837). The presence of the nearby Copper Beech of the same age suggests a commemorative planting.
The Copper Beech- Unknown This tree is probably the same age as the Oak.

Luckomb Oak – planted by the Duke of Somerset This interesting tree is a hybrid between Turkey oak and Cork oak (occurring naturally in (S. Europe) first raised at Exeter in 1762.
